Patton Township police to host course for teens

The Patton Township Police Department will host a Junior Police Academy for high school students interested in careers in law enforcement or public service or those curious about how police agencies operate.

Students between 15 and 18 years old can apply to learn about various topics, including crime scene investigation, bomb squads and trials. The academy runs 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for three weeks starting Feb. 24 at the Patton Township Municipal Building.

The course is free, and applications, which are available at school guidance offices are due to Patton Township police by Feb. 19.
