Four people were transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center on Friday afternoon after a three-vehicle crash on South Water Street in Pine Grove Mills, according to Ferguson Township police.
The injuries were non-life-threatening, said Officer Shawn Morrison.
Morrison said that one vehicle heading north down the mountain swerved into the ongoing lane near the 700 block of South Water Street, also state Route 26, and collided “head-on” with a vehicle driving south up the mountain.
The southbound vehicle then spun and hit another vehicle, while the northbound vehicle came to a stop on the side of the mountain, Morrison said.
The crash caused lanes in both directions to close for more than an hour, Police Chief Diane Conrad said.
The crash, which is still under investigation, happened just before 3 p.m., Morrison said.
Alpha Fire Company and Huntingdon County officials assisted Centre Lifelink EMS and Ferguson Township police at the scene.
