Sidewalk clearing enforcement will begin for Patton Township residents beginning Tuesday, according to a release by the township.
The township “applauded” residents and businesses that cleared their sidewalks during the cold and icy weather last week, township Manager Doug Erickson said. Due to the extreme weather and lack of de-icing materials at local retailers, clearing regulations have not been enforced.
With warm weather coming, enforcement will resume at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Erickson said. Those failing to clear their sidewalks will face a $15 fine per day.
