Veterans are invited to a town hall meeting from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Celebration Hall in College Township.
“It’s a good opportunity for veterans to come out if they have questions about VA health care,” Veterans Affairs Director Brian Querry said.
Querry said that with the 42nd anniversary of the Vietnam War upon us, he wanted to reach out to veterans who served on the ground during the war. Vietnam veterans may have been exposed to Agent Orange, a defoliant used so extensively that anyone who spent time on the ground was likely exposed.
Over the years, he said, studies have determined that a number of diseases and conditions have been linked to this exposure. Some veterans are still not aware of the treatments and benefits they can receive from the VA.
