Two people were taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon after a school bus rear-ended a car near Mount Nittany Middle School.
The bus, operated by Long Motor Buses, crashed into a car about 3:20 p.m. on Brandywine Drive while arriving to pick up students, the State College Area School District said in a news release.
There were no students on the bus at the time, said district spokesman Chris Rosenblum.
When the car stopped in front of the bus, the bus driver did not stop in time, crashing into the car and damaging both vehicles, Rosenblum said.
The driver of the car reportedly sustained minor cuts and was taken to the hospital, along with the bus driver, who the district did not name.
Rosenblum said a replacement bus was called to take students home.
