State College Little League will play in Challenger Division exhibition game in Williamsport

On Aug. 29, State College Little League will travel to Williamsport to compete in the Little League Baseball World Series Challenger Exhibition Game at Volunteer Stadium.

The Little League Challenger Division features 30,000 physically or mentally challenged players in more than 900 leagues around the world. Budding ballplayers from State College have been featured since the program was established in 1989.

State College will face off against First Colony Little League from Sugar Land, Texas. Each team will be supported with a $15,000 grant from Little League International to help cover costs like registration fees.
