Mall walking has never been more convenient.
The Centre Region Senior Center is finalizing plans to relocate from its location on South Fraser Street in State College to a 7,075-square-foot space near Sears in the Nittany Mall.
Foot traffic outside of Planet Fitness and American Eagle should pale in comparison with the 15-month lane closure on Fraser during the construction of the Fraser Centre.
The move is being made in part to help senior center patrons avoid the accompanying congestion while attempting to park and access the building.

In preparation for the move, the senior center will be closed from Aug. 24 to 31. It will reopen Sept. 1 at a temporary 4,000-square-foot location in the mall.
This will provide patrons and staff an opportunity to meet with architect Alan Popovich, who will design the permanent space.
