A burst pipe in the State College Borough building damaged about $10,000 worth of C-NET equipment Monday, Director Cindy Hahn said.
A pipe in the ceiling above the equipment room cracked, she said, spilling water down onto a counter containing hard drives, microphones and a pair of MacBook Air computers. Fortunately, the damage only impacted C-NET’s ability to livestream the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisor’s meeting Monday evening.
“It’s not a small chunk of change, but we’re insured,” Hahn said. “We expect a majority of it to be covered by insurance.”
