Fraser Street in downtown State College between West Beaver Avenue and West College Avenue is scheduled to return to two-way traffic Friday, according to the borough’s public works department.
Public works crews and the Fraser Centre contractor will begin removing one-way signage Friday, a borough news release said, restoring signage for two-way operations, repainting lines and relocating protective fencing outside the Fraser Street cartway.
While fencing will remain, an adequate area for pedestrians will be provided on the Fraser Centre sidewalk, the release said. The loading zone along West Beaver will also be removed.
Signs will be installed to warn motorists of the change, the release said. Changes are expected to be completed before morning commuter traffic.
