Bellefonte woman charged in retail theft

A Bellefonte woman is facing two felony theft charges after a Friday arrest at the Nittany Mall.

Ariana Snook, 18, was stopped at Macy’s for allegedly attempting to leave the store with $60 in underwear, the criminal complaint said. She was taken into custody by State College police.

This marks Snook’s third retail theft offense, the complaint said. She faces two felony charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property.

Bail was set at $10,000, according to court documents. A preliminary hearing is slated for Wednesday.
