A Rockville, Md., man was arrested in Centre County for DUI and drug possession.

The incident occurred at about 9 p.m. Friday, according to a press release from state police at Philipsburg.

Elijah Isaiah Thweatt, 18, was traveling 109 mph on Interstate 99 in Worth Township when state police initiated a traffic stop, police said.

According to police, Thweatt was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

He was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana and related drug paraphernalia, police said.
