Car break-ins reported in State College/Several unlocked vehicles were entered overnight Monday into Tuesday in the borough of State College, police reported.

Items such as an iPod, jigsaw, video cassettes and unknown amounts of loose change were taken, police said.

The break-ins happened near the 1300 block of Springfield Circle, the 1400 block of Estate Drive, and on West Prospect Avenue.

Residents are reminded to keep their cars locked, police said.

There are no suspects.

Police investigating increase in graffiti

State College police have reported a rash of graffiti in the borough in the last several days.

All the markings seem to be related, but there are no suspects, police said.

Moshannon man accused of drug possession

State police at Rockview arrested a 50-year-old Moshannon man who they say was found to be in possession of a “quantity of suspected illegal drugs” after a car crash Feb. 14 on Interstate 80.

Steven Veres Sr. crashed on the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails route, adjacent to mile marker 143 on I-80 in Snow Shoe Township around 4:20 p.m., police said.

Charges are pending an investigation, police said.
