Man faces charges after alleged burglary
STATE COLLEGE — A man faces burglary and other charges for allegedly forcing his way into a house at 119 S. Buckhout St., punching someone and refusing to leave at 2:44 a.m. Saturday, according to State College police.
Police said Gregory Maynard, no age or address given, was arraigned on charges of burglary and criminal trespass and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.

STATE COLLEGE — A Millheim woman was flown to Geisinger Medical Center in critical condition after a weather-related vehicle crash at 8:18 a.m. Saturday in Harris Township, according to State College police.
According to police, Lucily Bloom was driving west in front of 1830 Earlystown Road (state Route 45) when her car slid out of its lane and was struck broadside by an eastbound vehicle driven by Kenneth Burkholder, of Huntingdon.
Police said Bloom was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center, then flown to Danville in critical condition. The passenger in Burkholder’s vehicle was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center and released, police said.
Police closed the 1800 block of Earlystown Road for three and a half hours to investigate the crash, which caused severe damage to both of the vehicles involved.
Police said the crash is thought to be related to Saturday morning’s snowy weather conditions. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police at 234-7150.
