One person received minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Marion Township Saturday afternoon, according to state police at Rockview.

Santa Z. Bello, 49, of Bronx, N.Y., was driving west about 1:30 p.m. when his tire blew out, which caused his vehicle to cross the roadway into the guardrail at mile marker 162.

There were four passengers in his vehicle, one of whom received a minor injury, police said. That person was not identified and no further information about the injury was available.

Power wheelchair stolen in Millheim

The chair is described as red with a gray leather seat. Police did not say how much the chair cost.

Wingate road work to begin Monday

WINGATE — Work to build a left-turn lane and realign an intersection will begin Monday, the state Department of Transportation announced.

During the 2008 construction season, crews will concentrate on water and sewer line relocation and roadway drainage work so impacts to traffic should be minimal, PennDOT said.

The project will include construction of a new center lane for left turns on Route 504 and the re-alignment of the intersection of Routes 144, 504 and Township Road 435.

A new traffic signal is also part of the $3 million project to be done by general contractor HRI Inc. of State College.
