A Penn State student accused of using Internet file-sharing programs to download and share child pornography now faces possible trial on the charges.
Ian Z. Shulman, 19, waived a preliminary hearing Wednesday on 53 counts of felony child pornography possession charges and three felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility
Shulman was arrested last week following a two-month investigation by the state Attorney General’s office that included a search warrant on Shulman’s residence in Beaver Hall on campus.
Each count could mean up to seven years in prison and $15,000 in fines.
