Synthetic drugs seized at Philipsburg home

State police say charges are pending against several individuals following a drug investigation involving a residence on 2nd Street in Philipsburg Borough.

Police partially identified two suspects as a 37-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, both of Philipsburg.

According to a news release, between April 4 and June 10, members of the state police Troop G Vice Unit conducted an investigation into alleged distribution of synthetic marijuana from the residence at 327 N. 2nd St. Police said they made three purchases of drugs during that time.

A search warrant was obtained on Tuesday, and police seized 5 pounds of “green vegetable matter and chemicals” used to manufacture synthetic marijuana. Troopers also seized synthetic marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia.

The investigation continues.
