Police: Copper piping, other items stolen from storage trailers at school

Police are investigating a reported theft of 100 pounds of copper piping and fittings and other items from storage buildings at Indian Valley Elementary School.

Plumbing contractor Dallas Klauger reported the break-in to Mifflin County Regional Police Department. Police said the theft occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 10.

Klauger told police that someone had cut off the locks he had placed on the doors of storage trailers at the school.

In addition to the copper materials, the theft involved a box of lavatory faucets, lavatory supply tubing and two kitchen faucets with sprayers.

The total value of the stolen items was estimated at $3,000.
