Bellefonte man charged with attempted robbery of drugstore will face trial

A Bellefonte man will proceed to trial on charges he robbed a local drugstore.

Joshua M. Fagan, 31, on Wednesday waived his preliminary hearing on four counts of robbery, one count of theft by unlawful taking, and one count of firearms not to be carried without a license, all felonies, as well as misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, terroristic threats and receiving stolen property.

The charges stem from the Feb. 28 robbery of Parrish Apothecary on Allegheny Street in Bellefonte. Police said Fagan used a handgun in the incident, attempting to obtain prescription narcotics.

Fagan remains in the Centre County Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000 bail.
