A Port Matilda man was arrested and charged with five counts after allegedly threatening to shoot a man and firing numerous shots into the ground of the man’s Halfmoon Township residence, state police at Rockview said.
Luke Hoff, 30, was charged with misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and simple assault, two counts of reckless endangerment and a summary offense of disorderly conduct in connection with the incident, according to court documents.
Police said Hoff arrived at the man’s house at 3:10 a.m. Saturday after threatening by text message to shoot him earlier in the morning. Hoff fired shots into the ground but none hit the house and no one was injured, police said.
His bail was set at $10,000, and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for March 26.
