Alcohol a factor in St. Patrick’s Day incidents

St. Patrick’s Day drinking ended in several emergency calls on Monday.

A man was cited for driving under the influence after he was too incapacitated to get his car out of the Pugh Street parking garage around 6 p.m. Preliminary tests put his blood-alcohol level at .162. The legal threshhold for DUI is .08.

A 23-year-old female Penn State student was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after she was picked up at 500 E. College Ave. around 10 p.m. and taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center to be treated for alcohol overdose, where she became combative.

A 22-year-old female Penn State student was also taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for alcohol overdose at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday. She was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .31.
