Juveniles charged in rock throwing

Three teenagers are being charged with a slate of crimes after an incident last week.

State police at Lamar said that the boys, a 15-year-old from Lock Haven and two 16-year-olds from Beech Creek and Mill Hall, were throwing rocks onto Interstate 80 from the bridge over Rag Valley Road, damaging two tractor-trailers.

One of the trucks had a large rock thrown through the windshield. The other had damage to the fiberglass air dam above the roof. The drivers were identified as Rickey Griffin, of Maumee, Ohio, and Eddie Plum Jr., of Dresden, Ohio.

The boys have been placed in the Centre County Juvenile Detention Center. They are charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, both felonies, and propulsion of missiles, criminal attempted propulsion of missiles, criminal conspiracy to commit propulsion of missiles, recklessly endangering another person, criminal conspiracy to recklessly endanger another person, simple assault, criminal conspiracy to commit simple assault, criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, all misdemeanors.
