Bellefonte man charged with church shed burglary

A Bellefonte man faces burglary charges after police said he stole gas containers from Faith United Methodist Church in Spring Township.

Devan Worrick, 18, used bolt cutters to enter a shed on church property about 1:25 a.m. Saturday, police said.

A neighbor saw him leaving the scene and noted a registration number, which allowed Bellefonte police to locate Worrick. State police at Rockview said Worrick revelead the location of the stolen items as well as the items used in the incident.

According to court documents, Worrick was charged with felony counts of burglary and criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor count of theft and a summary.

His bail was set at $25,000 unsecured.
