Mill Hall man allegedly leads police on chase while in possession of drug paraphernalia

A Mill Hall man is held at the Centre County Correctional Facility after leading state police on a chase Saturday afternoon, according to state police.

Matthew Etters, 34, was driving on state Route 150 near the Clinton County line when troopers attempted to stop him.

Etters continued driving into Clinton County, police said.

Troopers from the Lamar barracks set up two spike strips that stopped the fleeing truck, police said. Etters then attempted to flee on foot but was stopped, police said.

After searching the vehicle, police found items used in the production of methamphetamine, police said.

He is charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless endangerment and also for possessing the meth items, police said.

Etters is being held on $100,000 monetary bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Nov. 19.
