Howard man accused of assault, false imprisonment

A Howard man faces false imprisonment and simple assault charges stemming from a domestic fight Sunday night.

State police at Rockview said George McClosky, 52, was intoxicated when he got into an argument with a woman, whom police did not identify, after she tried to leave the residence with their child.

McClosky, police said, grabbed a firearm and prevented the woman from leaving every time she tried to depart.

During a search of the premises after a warrant was obtained, suspected drugs were found, police said.

McClosky, who also faces a charge of reckless endangerment, was taken to Centre County Correctional Facility before his arraignment, police said.
