A Philipsburg man was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene Thursday night.
State police at Philipsburg said while the 33-year-old man was walking near 104 W. Presqueisle St. about 11:50 p.m., he fell onto the road.
A dark-colored SUV traveling east on Presqueisle Street struck the man and continued toward Front Street, police said.
The man suffered an open fracture to the lower left leg and was flown to UPMC Altoona. Moshannon Valley EMS assisted at the scene.
