An inmate at Benner Township state prison faces charges after reportedly assaulting another inmate.
Charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and procuring a weapon were filed Monday against John Floyd, 44, stemming from an incident on Jan.17, according to court documents. Floyd is accused of hitting another inmate in the head and body with a sock stuffed with four D batteries, state police said.
