A Ferguson Township man accused of child pornography offenses waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday morning.
David M. Buckley, 27, is charged with two counts of possessing and one count of distributing child pornography, according to court documents. All are felonies.
The charges stem from a state police investigation of child porn dissemination on online file-sharing network BitTorrent, police said. An investigator discovered a computer system set up to share files on the network and downloaded a video depicting an undressed prepubescent girl, according to the criminal complaint. Police traced the IP address to a computer used by Buckley, according to court documents.
Search warrants for Buckley’s home were executed and police seized a laptop that reportedly had multiple images and videos of preteen models, including the video discovered online, police said.
Buckley was arrested by Ferguson Township police March 18 and arraigned before District Judge Leslie Dutchcot, who set bail at $50,000. He is being held in Centre County Correctional Facility.
Buckley’s attorney, Joe Amendola, did not return requests for comment.
