A Philipsburg man suspected of choking a child faces charges including aggravated assault and endangering children, according to police.
Brian Troy, 33, also faces charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment stemming from an incident in November.
Children and Youth Services received a report about suspicious marks on the face of a 6-year-old child, according to state police at Philipsburg. Troy said the marks were from an allergic reaction, but doctors noted broken blood vessels on the child’s face and scalp and bruises and scratches around the child’s neck, according to court documents.
Troy was arraigned before District Judge Allen Sinclair on Tuesday. He is being held on $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 13.
