A State College man was arrested Thursday after allegedly assaulting a female victim.
A call came in at about 9:50 a.m. regarding a fight in an alleyway along the 100 block of East Hamilton Avenue, State College police said. There, they picked up Elijah Black, 19, of State College.
The fight is believed to have started indoors before making its way outside, police said. During this time, Black allegedly grabbed the unnamed victim by her neck, held her down on a bed and strangled her until she couldn’t breathe, telling her he was going to kill her.
According to court documents, Black was arraigned before District Judge Leslie Dutchcot on charges of simple assault, aggravated assault, terroristic threats and harassment. He was unable to post $30,000 bail.
