A pair of Battle Cross Fallen Soldier Memorial statues have gone missing from a monument near the Gatesburg Lutheran Church, Ferguson Township police said Friday.

The statues, depicting a soldier’s boots and helmet on top of an inverted rifle, have been missing since the first week of April, police said. A check of local metal recycling businesses didn’t result in any new leads.

The Gatesburg Historical Society is offering a reward of up to $250 for information that leads to an arrest, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ferguson Township police at 237-1172.
