Mifflin County police reported that two Reedsville residents face multiple charges after they left two small children home alone for at least 2 hours.
Trevor Wagner, 23, and Lauren Wagner, 21, were seen entering an apartment on Taylor Drive with two infant children by residents in the complex. A short time later, the pair left the apartment, got into a car and drove away, a police report said.
A neighbor then reported hearing crying and screaming sounds from the couple’s apartment.
Officers were summoned, but were unable to make contact with the Wagners after a “considerable” amount of time.

Reedsville Fire Company was called, and it placed a ladder up against the building where a window to the residence was located. Officers climbed the ladder and observed two children unresponsive within the dwelling. Officers then forced their way into the residence.
It was determined that one child was 2 years old and the other was less than 1 year old. The children were placed with Mifflin County Children and Youth Services, police said.
About two hours later, the Wagners returned to the residence. Both were charged with two counts each of recklessly endangering another person, endangering the welfare of a child, and once count each for possession of drug paraphernalia. They were placed in Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
