Pittsburgh man facing drug charges after I-80 traffic stop

A Pittsburgh man is in custody after a traffic stop that yielded about 0.5 kilograms of cocaine, according to state police at Rockview.

Keith Peterkin, 42, was charged Friday with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance after he was pulled over for a routine traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Marion Township.

According to court documents, a probable cause search was executed and, in addition to the cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.

Peterkin, who also is charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession, was arraigned before District Judge Allen Sinclair and is being held on $250,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
