Philipsburg man named Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week

Clearfield County District Attorney Bill Shaw on Monday named Benjamin Colyer, 20, of Philipsburg, as the county’s “Fugitive of the Week” for Aug. 10.

According to Shaw, Colyer is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing on July 8.

Colyer was charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and receiving stolen property after a May incident in Clearfield in which he was accused of stealing video games from a home and selling them.

A warrant was issued for Colyer’s arrest after he failed to appear at his hearing.

Colyer is described as white, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, with hazel eyes and brown hair.
