An Aaronsburg man is in custody, accused of indecently assaulting, choking and biting an ex-girlfriend.
Ted Homan, 35, faces a felony charge of aggravated indecent assault and misdemeanor counts of simple assault and indecent assault stemming from a reported domestic incident early Tuesday morning. State police at Rockview said they arrived at a Spring Township home about 2 a.m. and talked to a woman who reported Homan had assaulted her about 30 minutes before.
The woman reported that Homan had called and texted her several times through the night asking her if she’d been sleeping with anyone else, police said. He showed up at the house and an argument ensued. The woman told police Homan eventually choked her, bit her nose and ear and shoved his hand down her pants before fleeing, according to court documents. Troopers observed injuries on the woman consistent with the reported assault, police said.
Homan is also charged with harassment and prowling charges. He was arrested later Tuesday morning and arraigned before District Judge Carmine Prestia. He is being held at Centre County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 26.
