Man accused of fleeing from Ferguson Township police

A 25-year-old man faces multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from Ferguson Township police.

At 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, police attempted to stop a Pontiac G-6 driven by Isaiah Tilghman on the 3200 block of West College Avenue.

Police said Tilghman fled, passing vehicles at the intersection of West College and Shingletown Road and continuing at a high speed onto West Pine Grove Road. Near Pine Grove Mills, police said, Tilghman struck a vehicle head-on. The driver of that vehicle was not injured.

Tilghman then fled on foot and was caught while trying to hide among the residences on Sunday Drive.

He faces charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, a felony, and multiple counts of recklessly endangering another person, a misdemeanor.

Patton Township and State College police assisted Ferguson Township police.
