A fight outside of The Lion’s Den in State College resulted in one man’s arrest.
Juan Palmores, 23, was arraigned before District Judge Tom Jordan on Saturday.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Palmores allegedly became enraged and assaulted a bar employee after being denied entry to the bar, due to his level of intoxication.
Palmores allegedly punched the employee in the head with a closed fist and kicked him in his abdomen, according to court documents.
When police arrived on the scene, they found Palmores and two Lion’s Den staff members on the ground.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the officer responding to the scene suspected some “sort of physical altercation had taken place” as the two men asking for help were pinning the “third one down.”
Handcuffs were placed on Palmores, who allegedly continued to struggle with police while handcuffed, refusing to stand up.
Palmores allegedly kicked an arm rest inside the Penn State police vehicle and began hitting his head on the enclosed partition.
Palmores’ blood was found throughout the back seat of the police vehicle.
Palmores was taken to the Centre County Prison and is facing numerous charges, including a misdemeanor count of simple assault.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
