A Philadelphia man allegedly caught with 577 bags of heroin and 23.9 grams of cocaine waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday.
Amir Robinson, 22, was found with seven tied bags, wrapped in “14 bag bundles with a rubber band,” according to police. Police say this packaging is “indicative to the sale of heroin.”
On Monday, State College police Officer Kelly Aston said, “577 bags of heroin is significant for any community.”
“That’s a lot of heroin being distributed to folks living in our area,” she said.
Robinson faces nine felonies, including possession with intent to deliver cocaine and heroin and criminal use of a communications facility. Robinson will remain in the Centre County Correctional Facility in lieu of $175,000 bail.
Robinson’s case will proceed to a pretrial conference.
