Bellefonte man jailed for Megan’s Law offense

A Bellefonte man was arrested Thursday after state police say he failed to comply with Megan’s Law requirements.

Jerry Paul Keith, 50, is charged with three felonies for failure to comply with registration of sexual offender requirements, verify his address or be photographed as required and to provide accurate information. He is also charged with providing unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor.

Keith was sentenced to serve five to 10 years in state prison in 2006 after taking a plea for aggravated indecent assault of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault on a person younger than 13, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.

Keith is being held at Centre County Correctional Facility in lieu of $150,000 bail.
