Bellefonte man to serve jail time for domestic violence

A Bellefonte man is facing jail time for a domestic violence incident in December.

President Judge Thomas King Kistler on Tuesday sentenced 58-year-old David Foresman to nine to 23 and a half months at the Centre County Correctional Facility.

Foresman pleaded guilty to charges of simple assault and harassment last month.

Matthew Sheffer, of Port Royal, Mifflin County, was found guilty of all charges, including child rape. State police at Rockview accused Sheffer of molesting an 11-year-old girl while her mother was at work and away from their Millheim residence.
