‘Homicide-suicide’ reported in Clearfield County

State police at Clearfield are classifying a domestic incident that occurred Friday night in Bradford Township, Clearfield County, as a “homicide-suicide.”

According to a police report, police responded to a private residence on Hillbilly Lane for a report of a domestic incident that involved two people and a “large knife.”

Upon arrival, police found a woman inside the home with multiple stab wounds. In another room, police found a man with a self-inflicted stab wound, the report said.

Both died at the scene, police said.

Trooper Jared Wolff said in the report that a physical altercation between the man and woman — which was observed by a witness — happened in the front yard of the home and then moved indoors.

Donald Edward Peters, 46, of Mineral Springs, allegedly stabbed Tammy L. Sipe, 43, of Hyde.

Police responded to the scene at about 6:51 p.m. — four minutes after the incident was reported.
