Penn State police are investigating a reported aggravated assault in which an unknown male allegedly pointed a handgun toward pedestrians on campus during move-in weekend, according to a Penn State release.
Police said a witness to the incident described a black, four-door sedan stopped at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Bigler and McKean roads. The front passenger in the car allegedly pointed the gun toward pedestrians, telling them to be careful.
The passenger was described only as a black male, police said. The witness was unable to provide further description of the occupants or vehicle.
Penn State police reminds everyone to report all suspicious persons, vehicles and activities.
