Ziauddin Yousafzai, head of Malala Fund, to speak at Penn State

Ziauddin Yousafzai, U.N. special adviser on global education and chairman of the Malala Fund, will speak Nov. 18 at Penn State.

Yousafzai is the father of Malala Yousafzai, the 17-year-old women’s rights and children’s education activist who survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban in 2012 and who has become an outspoken international human rights advocate.

Ziauddin Yousafzai is an educator who has peacefully protested against the Taliban in Pakistan.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. event at Eisenhower Auditorium will be available for free to students beginning Nov. 4 and to the general public Nov. 11 at Schwab Auditorium, the Bryce Jordan Center, The HUB and the Downtown Theater Center.
