PSU trustee committees to hold meetings on role of emeriti, presidential evaluations

The Committee on Governance and Long-Range Planning of Penn State’s board of trustees will hold a telephone meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday to discuss “the board’s standing orders related to emeriti memberships.”

The committeee has taken the issue up at recent meetings in March and May, receiving input from sitting trustees as well as emeritus members. Some want the emeritus group to have a more formalized or defined role.

Any recommendations to amend the board’s standing orders are expected to be considered by the full board during its July 17 meeting.

The public will be able to listen to the meeting online at wpsu.org/live.

The Committee on Compensation will have an executive session June 29 at 3 p.m. This meeting is being held to discuss presidential and executive evaluation and compensation. The meeting is not open to the public.
