JoePa beer will be on tap soon.
It’s part of Duquesne Lager’s Paterno Legacy Series, and the logo and packaging will be unveiled to the public 11 a.m. Saturday at Rotelli Pizza and Pasta & Pasta, 250 E. Calder Way.
According to a press release from Duquesne Beer, the brewing company will release the design that will honor the late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno.
“It’s obviously to honor Coach Paterno,” said President Mark Dudash, in a CDT story last month, who brought the company back to life in 2010 after a 38-year hiatus. “And for Penn State fans, who are everywhere.”

Dudash said the idea came to him about a year ago.
“(Paterno) just had a great reputation. I thought about it, approached Jay and his family, worked on it for about a year and that’s how it happened,” he said.
Jay Paterno, the coach’s son, said part of the proceeds from the beer sales will go toward a charity that his family supports, but exactly which one has not yet been determined.
