Penn State’s pigeon-plagued parking no longer a problem

If you were worried that you would have to find a new place to park because of the pigeon poop issues at the Nittany Parking Deck, Penn State has you covered.

According to Jason Thomas, of the university’s transportation services, the fowl problem has been cleaned up and parking is totally open once again.

The Office of Physical Plant said Wednesday that parts of the parking structure were closed due to a problem with pigeon droppings. On Thursday, Thomas announced that the issue, which OPP said could stretch through the weekend, had been handled.

“Fortunately, because the cleanup only affected two levels of parking, this was a nonissue for our customers, as parking remained available within the deck while cleanup was completed,” Thomas said in an email.
