Penn State’s board of trustees will meet for committee meetings Thursday afternoon ahead of their voting meeting Friday.
The committee meetings are now public as part of the board’s effort to improve transparency and communication in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal fallout. The meetings are in second-floor meeting rooms of The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.
Among the meetings: The committee on legal and compliance meets at 2 p.m. in Room 219 and the committee on governance and long-range planning meets at 2:30 p.m. in Room 211.
The trustees have said they would use these meetings to discuss the plethora of recommendations they have received from outside parties, such as former Auditor General Jack Wagner.
