Penn State sets up hotline to report abuse

STATE COLLEGE — Penn State is encouraging people to report sexual assault and relationship violence through a newly activated hotline.

The university’s Office of Student Affairs said Monday the number applies to all Penn State campuses across Pennsylvania.

It’s being promoted as a way for victims and people who witness attacks to get in touch with all available services through the university and wider community.

At the main campus in State College, callers will be assisted by the Center for Counseling and Psychological Services. At other campuses, callers may be referred to outside agencies.

The around-the-clock number is 800-550-7575.
