The Penn State Faculty Senate will hear from President Rod Erickson and discuss how it can support efforts to enhance the university’s transparency and shared governance during a meeting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kern Building on campus.
On Nov. 18, the Faculty Senate approved a resolution calling for an independent special committee, a majority of whose members are not affiliated with the university. The resolution also called for a review of administrative and Senate policies on reporting procedures.
The question for discussion will be: “How might the Senate provide collaborative leadership (with students, faculty, administration and trustees) to enhance transparency across the university and the effectiveness of shared governance?”
