Watching this trouncing in the district attorney race, I can only think back to the primary.
The Republicans should have had a contested primary. Mike Madeira should have had an opponent so GOP voters could have decided their candidate.
Instead he had a free ride and Republicans had to take care of business in the general election.
Stacy Parks Miller was going to win, but she's winning a runaway that started in the primary when GOP voters didn't have a say.
Madeira has been living on borrowed time in the DA's office. That time is ending tonight.
Best wishes to the new DA. She beat two other Democrats in the primary and took care of business here in November.
