Springsteen's musical journey

When the Boss comes to town you're in for an amazing night,  and that it was Friday at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The "Working on a Dream" tour stopped here and for three hours and the Boss and the E Street Band took you on a musical journey that started with "Badlands."

Old stuff mixed with new stuff, beautifully, and with the energy you know from past tours. Bruce Springsteen and the band are aging well, you have to say.

I never expected to hear "Bobby Jean" in the encore. But there were surprises throughout and special moments for the Happy Valley audience as Bruce made his rounds off the stage.

The little girl who joined him for "Waiting on a Sunny Day" stole the show for a short time, perhaps even surprising the Boss.

The Boss praised the State College Area Food Bank a few days after he gave it a boost with his own donation matching local donations.

In all it was another amazing performance by Springsteen -- one that a Happy Valley audience will remember for years to come.
